The Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA) has been monitoring rapidly changing conditions and new information about the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and will postpone or cancel all of their public events through April 30, 2020.
“Our highest priority is the health and well-being of our constituents, staff, and campus community,” said Sarah Schutt, WAA Chief Alumni Officer and Executive Director.
Following recent recommendations from public health officials and guidelines established by UW–Madison leadership, WAA made the decision.
UW–Madison chancellor Rebecca Blank and Dane County public health officials have recommended suspending events and drastically limiting nonessential travel. WAA is taking this proactive measure out of consideration for public health and well-being.
All registered attendees will be notified, and registration fees will be refunded.
