WESTON — Due to the continued developments and spread of COVID-19, the Everest Metro Police Department lobby will close immediately until further notice, Everest Metro announced today.

The department asks the public to call 715-359-4202 for questions or non-emergency related issues. If you have an emergency, call 911.

“In an effort to continue to provide services to our community, we need to protect our staff and citizens’ potential exposure to COVID-19,” said Police Chief Clayton Schulz in a news release. “We have closed our prescription drug box program until further notice. We have also asked our officers to handle non-emergency calls and calls for service over the phone, when possible, to minimize person-to-person contact. If there is an emergency, officers will respond as usual.”
