A 65-year-old Vilas County man tested positive for COVID-19, marking the county’s first confirmed case, officials said Wednesday.
The patient is hospitalized in stable condition. Health officials say the man had recent out-of-state travel.
People who could have had close contact with the man will be contacted by the Vilas County Health Department.
