Portage County’s parks and trails are open for hiking, walking. This includes the Tomorrow River State Trail, which can also be used for biking. Bathroom facilities and lodges will remain closed until further notice.

On March 30, the main office will not be open for in-person meetings unless they are absolutely necessary and only in accordance with the governor’s current orders. If you have questions that need to be answered, call 715-346-1433 or email [email protected].

Until further notice, playgrounds are closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of the public.

If using the parks and trails, please maintain proper social distancing guidelines, and avoid close contact with others. The CDC recommends a minimum of 6 feet of distance to help reduce the risk of spread between individuals. Learn more at https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/ and https://www.co.portage.wi.us/.
