WAUSAU — In addition to the health implications of COVID-19, the ongoing emergency is taking an unprecedented toll on people and businesses throughout the region. At 10 a.m. today, April 3Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” host Shereen Siewert welcomes Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin Program Officer Sue Nelson, Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Lauren Sackett and CREATE Portage County Executive Director Greg Wright for a look at what support agencies are doing to help during the public health crisis.

Each guest will discuss the ways their organization is responding to the needs of people, nonprofit organizations and businesses throughout the region. They will also offer ways that listeners can help. This is the second of a four-part series of WPR’s regional COVID-19 response in our community. Hear last week’s “Route 51,” which focused on the science behind the epidemic, at wpr.org/route51.
