Please adhere to any and all recommendations from the federal government, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Marathon County Health Department if engaging in any and all volunteer roles.

Safety Well-Check Phone Callers. Faith in Action of Marathon County needs volunteers to check on care receivers weekly. There are specific questions to ask and a report given to the agency. If you are interested, contact Jamie at 715-848-8783 or [email protected].

Plant a Seed. United Way of Marathon County is providing seeds to people who want to grow some vegetable seedlings for future use in area community gardens. If you need seeds to be sent to you, visit https://www.secure.unitedwaymc.org/servlet/eAndar.article/3929/Plant-a-Seed or call 715-298-5719.

Red Cross Blood Drive Help. Volunteers safely help register people, hand out snacks and inform donors. Volunteers do need to have a basic understanding of technology and computers. For more information, contact Lee at [email protected]

In-Kind Donated Items Needed

Donations of Sensory Blankets or Mats. The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Wisconsin Wausau Chapter has need for items helpful to agitation and restless fingers. Blankets, mitts or mats that are crocheted, or sewn with buttons, ribbon, and beads can be made now and donated later. Contact JoAnn at 1-800-272-3900 or [email protected].

Work on Lap Blankets to Donate Later. Aspirus Comfort Care/Hospice could use lap blankets. Donations will be accepted at a time to be determined in the future. Contact Samantha Giese at [email protected].

Furniture Need. North Central Health Care is in need of a bed, dresser, table and chairs, cooking supplies and small appliances. Pick up would be arranged at a later date when they are able to resume normal operations. Contact Kathy at 715-848-4450 or [email protected].
