The annual Scouting for Food project will shift to an online cash donation format to ensure Scouts remain safe during the coronavirus pandemic, Samoset Council announced in April.

One hundred percent of the money will remain in the community to support the local food bank. Instead of going door-to-door to collect food, Scouts will spread the word digitally on this service project to help local food banks. Just $1 dollar can buy 10 meals in Wisconsin.

Scouting continues to serve youths and families across north central Wisconsin. Youths are working closely with their families to complete scouting projects at home. Virtual campouts are taking place, connecting local youths with youths across our nation. Scouting also remains committed to meeting community needs through service. With the growing economic hardship facing our communities, local food banks need Scouting for Food more than ever.
