Police in Stevens Point confirm a body was discovered Thursday in the Wisconsin River near the Clark Street Bridge.
Officers have been monitoring the area since March 22, when a 76-old Stevens Point woman was reported missing.
In a news release, police said the body discovered Thursday was that of an elderly woman, but did not confirm the victim’s identity.
