Del Toro

Del Toro

My name is Del Toro and though I don’t know anything about movie magic, I do know how to fall head over paws for you. I came to the shelter as a stray and I wasn’t at my very best. Not only was I scared and reactive, I was also covered in manure and sorely underweight. Staff have bathed me, fed me, loved me and helped me to be my very best. I am friendly with other dogs but may need more than one visit to feel comfortable. I’m not bothered by cats and may be shy around small children. I think belly rubs are the bees knees. I’ve come so far already but imagine the places we will go!

I will require multiple visits and a dedicated, experienced owner. I have reactive fear behaviors but have responded well to training and am very motivated by food.

Editor’s note: Pet of the week is a weekly feature profiling pets at the Humane Society of Marathon County in need of a home. To find out more about this week’s pet and the adoption process, visit the HSMC website here.
