Jean Seymour
Jean A. Seymour, 82, of Wausau died Monday, April 13, 2020, at Wellington Place, Rib Mountain, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born April 4, 1938, in Wausau, daughter of the late Erwin and Irene Wiensch. On Aug. 19, 1957, she married William Seymour. He survives.
She graduated from Wausau Senior High School. Prior to her retirement, Jean had been employed over 30 years at M&I /BMO Harris Bank, Wausau, in a variety of banking positions.
Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren Brooke and Bryce attending their sporting events and other activities. She also enjoyed traveling with her friends and family to many countries and places in the United States. Other interests included golfing, bowling and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband, William, two children, Kathy (Tracy) Pelky, Plover, Wisconsin, Rick Seymour; DePere, Wisconsin, two grandchildren, Brooke and Bryce, one sister, Barbara (Jan) Morrical, Arizona.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ronald Wiensch.
A private family service will held and a public memorial service will be celebrated at a later date after the Covid-19 quarantine restrictions have been lifted. A complete listing of dates and times will be published later.

Delwin Hoffman
Delwin H. Hoffman went to his heavenly home on Friday, April 10, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
He was born April 24, 1932, in Brantwood, son of the late Joe and Bernice (Scheller) Hoffman. He graduated from Tripoli High School. In 1960 he married Phyllis Komula. They had three children and later divorced. On May 26, 1984, he married Cheryl Mientke at Christ Lutheran Church in Wausau.
In 1953, Del entered the United States Army, completing training camp at Camp Roberts, California, before going to Korea. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, member of the Man of Honor Society and in 2013 went to Washington, D.C., on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. Del worked at CB & Q Railroad in Chicago, American Motors in Kenosha, Omark Industries in Prentice and Kings Campers in Wausau. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, helped with the Blind Outreach Program and was a volunteer at Aspirus Wausau Hospital Life Line. He was known as the bionic man as he had two hip and two shoulder replacements. He enjoyed camping, photography, remote airplanes and model railroads. Del also enjoyed ham radio, woodworking, listening to Polka music, traveling and especially spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Hoffman, Wausau; son, Joe Hoffman and his daughters, Annah (Jaden) and Grace, Dallas, Texas, daughter, Debbie (Martin) Lamas and their children, Lauren and Olivia, San Antonio, Texas and Jessica, Boston, Mass., and daughter, DeLyla Haunschild, her daughter, Vienna, Dallas, Texas and her son, Forrest, Waupaca; brothers, Kenneth (Dorothy) Hoffman, Donald (Marion) Hoffman and William Hoffman, all of Brantwood; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau, at a later date after the coronavirus quarantine has been lifted.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and School, Wausau.

Melissa Lewandowski
Melissa Lewandowski, 47, of Wausau passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020, at St. Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
She was born March 20, 1973, in Lombard, Illinois, to William Lewandowski and the late Mary (Machan) Lewandowski. For several years, Melissa had worked in the claims department at Liberty Mutual Insurance. Her friendly personality and ability to talk to just about anyone lead Melissa to work in several local restaurants, including Sconnies, Perkins, Loppnow’s and Hoffman House.
Melissa was a true sports fan, watching the Packers, Brewers and Nascar. Some of her favorite pastimes included reading, bowling and listening to country music, especially the concerts during fair week.
Survivors include her father, Bill of Wausau, brother, Mark of St. Cloud, Minnesota, sister, Kristen (John) Deal of Mebane, North Carolina, and three nieces, Elyse Lewandowski and Reagan and Claire Deal. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary, and her beloved beagles, Sparky and Lola.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Anne Catholic Church, Wausau.

Burdette “Bud” Eagon
Burdette, also known as “Bud” Eagon, died at his home on April 11, 2020, at 100 years of age. His last hours were spent outdoors on a beautiful spring day. He fell to rest at the foot of the trees near his treasured wood stocks without distress, and certainly with the greatest of happiness. Leaving his chainsaw behind and passing on to his next adventure while doing what he loved best, working with wood. In that instant he also reached his goal of remaining at his home on Sunset Lake until he passed on.
He had many roles in life but believed none was more important than being a good friend. During his time in the service, his U.S. Navy unit voted him most admired for his ability to be a good companion and workmate. The award meant so much to him that he insisted it be included in his memorial. The family appreciates and wishes to thank all of Bud’s friends, acquaintances and extended family for the generosity and kindness shown to him over the years. He knew what he had in each one of you.
Born on Dec. 22, 1919, in the town of Winneconne, son of Joseph A. Eagon and Belle (Stutzman) Eagon. He grew up on the family farm, attended Oshkosh High School, the University of Oshkosh and served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1944 as a radio instructor. In 1947, he married Sarah Jane Richards. They started a family and he continued his education, eventually earning a Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt University / George Peabody, Nashville. Bud came to UW-Stevens Point in 1950. He worked in teaching and administration at UWSP and may have set a record in the number of positions he filled over the years until his retirement in 1984, ending his career as dean of academic support programs which included the Albertson Learning Resources Center. During his career, Burdette was a consultant to the U.S. Agency for International Development, spending 1967 to 1973 working on higher education in Vietnam. After leaving UWSP, he was active in the Small Business Administration’s Volunteer Service Corps of Retired Educators.
Bud had an early interest in becoming a wood shop teacher that never came to fruition. His interest in woodturning was revived by Sarah’s gift of a lathe later in life, which rekindled the great love he had for all things wood and one that remained until his death. His curiosity and pursuit of all things interesting (one of his favorite words) was reflected in the extensive travel he shared with Sarah before her death in 2000 and continued through his 90s.
Burdette is survived by two sons, John and Thomas (Cynthia), three daughters, Sally Eagon, Mary Eagon Davenport (Richard Davenport) and Jean (Michael) Schliesmann, daughter-in-law Wendy Eagon, 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Burdette was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah, sisters Beatrice and Bernece, sons Brian and James, and daughter-in-law Kathryn Eagon.
Burdette wished to be cremated with a private family gathering at the Bell Cemetery in Winneconne and asked that any memorial gifts be directed to the Brian Eagon Fund at the UWSP Foundation. The family thanks the John J. Buettgen Funeral Home and Midwest Cremation Services for their assistance.
Alfred Barton
Alfred R. Barton, 77, of Wausau passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. He was born on July 14, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Eve (Cook) and James Barton.
Alfred met Margie (Loy) in Thule, Greenland. After leaving Greenland they moved to Houston, Texas, Shreveport, Louisiana, Denver, Colorado, and then settled in Wausau, Wisconsin. They were married on Jan. 6, 1983, in Wausau.
He is survived by his wife, Margie, his son Howard and his grandson Blake, Arlington, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister Mahaley.
Eleanor Hegewald
Eleanor Hegewald, 99, formerly of Birnamwood, died on Monday, April 13, 2020, in Tigerton at the home of her daughter.
She was born on Dec. 1, 1920, in the township of Elderon, the daughter of Lee and Veronica (Nicklaski) Bricko.
In 1940, she was united in marriage to Alfred Hegewald in Birnamwood. After marriage, the couple lived in Manitowoc where she worked in the tinsel factory.
In 1949, the family moved to Birnamwood where she worked at Chet & Emil’s serving many wedding meals throughout the years. She also installed wallpaper, painted and cleaned for people in the area. Eleanor enjoyed selling Avon for many years and cleaned the church for 21 years.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, polka music, dancing and the occasional road trips. She especially enjoyed her family around her. Eleanor was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood, and it’s Christian Mothers for many years.
Eleanor is survived by two daughters and one son, Donna (Duke) Karschney of Tigerton, Betty (Jack) Suwyn of Elderon and Roger (Judi) Hegewald of Birnamwood; a sister, Diane (Norbert) Swiechowski; a brother, Vernon (Nancy) Bricko; a sister-in-law, Ada Siegharter; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter Janet Breitrick; a great-grandson, Anthony Suwyn; five sisters, Florence Bamke, Anna Mae King, Josephine Balthazor, June Bricko and Audrey Habeck and two brothers, Kenneth Bricko and Lee Bricko Jr.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Philomena Catholic Church, Birnamwood. Fr. Vincente Llagas will preside. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.

James Kudronowicz
James A. Kudronowicz, 66, formerly of Hatley, died on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Pride TLC, Weston.
He was born in Milwaukee on June 13, 1953, the son of Anthony and Irene (Easker) Kudronowicz. James was a 1971 graduate of D.C. Everest High School.
James worked at Jarp Industries up until he suffered a stroke in May of 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and time spent with family and friends. James especially enjoyed time spent at his cottage on Pine Lake in Hiles.
James is survived by his mother, Irene Kudronowicz; two sons, Aaron (Laura) Kudronowicz and Ben (Tanya) Kudronowicz; four grandchildren, Hannah, Tyler, Nicole and Dylan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony.
A public visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Florian’s Catholic Church, Hatley.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday following the visitation. Fr. Gregory Bohren will preside. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Kronenwetter.
The family encourages the community and friends wishing to pay their respects to practice social distancing and keep the state mandates in mind. Please be patient as measures will be taken to practice social distancing during the visitation time.
