WAUSAU — The COVID-19 pandemic has more people cooking at home than ever in recent history. But how can you keep mealtimes from becoming a bore, while making the most of the ingredients you have on hand? At 10 a.m. on today, April 17, Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” host Shereen Siewert welcomes Chef Christian Czerwonka, owner of several Stevens Point restaurants, including Father Fats Public House and Chef’s Kitchen, for a quarantine cooking guide to help make mealtime both fun and interesting.
“Chef C” will offer recipe ideas, ways to involve everyone in the family in food preparation, and tips on how to find locally sourced ingredients for healthy, satisfying meals. Listeners can email questions and ideas in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org. This is the final in a four-part series of WPR’s regional COVID-19 response in our community.
“Route 51” is heard Friday morning at 10 a.m. on The Ideas Network stations 101.3 & 91.9/Wausau, AM 930/Auburndale-Stevens Point, 99.1/Stevens Point, 100.9/Marshfield, 90.3/Park Falls, 89.1/Adams-Wisconsin Rapids, and 89.9/Rhinelander-Eagle River. The program is re-broadcast Fridays at 7 p.m. on 90.9/Wausau. Program archives are available at wpr.org/route51.
