Terry Berndt
On Monday, April 13, 2020, Terry F. Berndt, loving father of two, passed away at the age of 66.
Terry was born on April 4, 1954, in Park Ridge, Illinois. At the age of 16, he moved to Florida to train race horses. He then moved back to Illinois to raise his daughter and son. Later in life, he began a small hobby farm in Aniwa, Wisconsin, where he resided until the time of his passing.
Terry had a strong passion for hunting and target shooting. He also enjoyed attending auctions, gardening, and spending time with his two grandsons.
Terry is survived by his two children, daughter, Kristen Berndt; and son, Mike (Molly) Berndt; and two grandsons, Gage and Jaxon. He is further survived by brothers, Don Berndt and Randy Berndt; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Berndt, and his mother, Mildred Berndt.
A Celebration of Life in Terry’s honor will be held at a later date for family and close friends.

Cherie Zindorf
Cherie L. Zindorf, 81, of Wausau passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Elroy, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Robert and Carol (Collins) Mason. Cherie was married to Gary E. Zindorf Sr. for many years and they later divorced.
Cherie worked at K-Mart in Portage for many years. Some of her favorite pastimes included playing cards, gardening, taking trips to the casino and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Gary E. Zindorf Jr., Wausau, Pamella Meske, Wausau and Dennis (Mary) Berndt, Fort Meyers, Florida, numerous grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, one brother, Donald Mason, Mt. Home, ID and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Colleen “Cokey” Mason and one brother, Jerry Mason.
Private family services will take place at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau. Private entombment will be at Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Online condolences may be expressed at petersonkraemer.com.
John “Jack” Kutil
John “Jack” F Kutil, 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Mount View Care Center, Wausau.
He was born Aug. 17, 1933, in Wausau, son of the late John G and Antoinette (Bandock) Kutil. On Jan. 27, 1954, he married Shirley Sanders. She survives.
Jack was a business owner in the Wausau area until his retirement, owning groceries stores (Jack’s Country Market and Jackson’s Foods) and fast food restaurants (Buddy’s, Bunny’s Lunch and The Korner).
Survivors include his wife, Shirley; children John L (Rhonda) Kutil, Kathy (Greg) Mayer, Mike (Laurie) Kutil, David (Donna) Kutil, Toni (Brian) Schmitt and Karen (Chad) Cochart, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Powers in 2007, brother Bob Kutil and sister Mary Lou Hall.
Private services will be held at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Whether it was a witty joke, sharing a story about the way things used to be – especially the price of groceries – or singing a song he made up as he was singing it, Jack always had a way of putting a smile on the faces of his 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. They all have their own special memories of Grandpa Jack and will miss him dearly.
Doris Kersten
Doris Kersten, 97, passed away April 15, 2020. Doris was born July 31, 1922, to Emil and Martha Kaatz, in Wausau. She married Lester Kersten on Sept. 25, 1948.
Doris is survived by her children, Donna of Weston, Karen (Randal) Brotzman of Stevens Point, and Karl of Weston, grandchildren, Sara Brotzman, Tami (Matthew) Corbin, Andrew (Toey) Peeters, and great-grandchildren, Gage and Cole Corbin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester, daughter, Beverly, parents, brothers and sisters, Leonard, Raymond, Gladys, Reuben, Gerald, Edward, and Lorraine.
A private graveside service is being held Friday, April 17, 2020, at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau.
Jack Schlotthauer
Jack J. Schlotthauer, 78, of Eland died on Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Ascension Saint Clare’s Hospital, Weston.
Jack was born on Aug. 18, 1941, in Milwaukee, the son of Jacob and Emma (Larose) Schlotthauer.
Jack was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1959-1965. He served in Korea, France and the United States as a military policeman. He was a member of the Darling Gunderson American Legion Post #341, Birnamwood.
On Oct. 22, 1978, Jack was united in marriage to Sharon Hensler in Watertown, Wisconsin.
Jack was a union carpenter for over 30 years, working on many projects in the area. In retirement, Jack kept busy and enjoyed boating, photography, fishing and hunting. He loved to read, model airplanes, drones and music. Jack was active in the 4-H and enjoyed his garden and hobby farm. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially sharing God’s word with them. Jack always faced his life challenges with an uncanny sense of humor and will be missed by many.
Jack is survived by his wife; Sharon, two daughters, Deanna Eckardt of Weston and Kelly (Rick) Miller of Turnerville, Wyoming; four grandchildren, Stephanie Rampart, Brittany Sheehan, and Shannon and Dustin Miller; three great-grandchildren, Roman Rampart, Chaystyn Miller, and Tanner Clark; “so called adopted” sons, Michael Roma and Tim Harmon; and special friend, Lloyd Pingel.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Jacqueline Sheehan; and two brothers, Steve and Tom Schlotthauer.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at a later date.
