WAUSAU — The Wausau RiverWolves have signed forward Liam Golden to a 2020-2021 tender agreement, the team announced recently.

Golden comes to central Wisconsin with junior hockey experience after splitting time last season with the Rochester Vipers and Minnesota Mullets in the USPHL, according to the RiverWolves. He spent his high school career playing for the Ashwaubenon Co-op.

This past season Golden tallied 9 goals and 7 assists in 40 games, the RiverWolves said in a news release. During his high school career Golden totaled 33 goals and 26 assists in 60 games played. Golden received All-Conference honorable mention recognition his Sophomore and Junior year in the FRCC. During his senior campaign he received first team honors.

“We are extremely excited to sign Liam,” said head coach Colin Bailey in the release. “He has been a player on our radar for some time. His skill and junior hockey experience is going to be a very welcomed addition to the lineup, which we expect to make a large impact.”
