A 19-year-old Merrill man will be referred to the Lincoln County District Attorney on drug charges following an incident in the town of Merrill on Thursday.

Deputies arrested a 34-year-old Merrill man Friday morning after finding a vehicle at 12:44 a.m. in the median of Highway 51 near Highway H. The driver was arrested for a third offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

A 38-year-old Appleton man was arrested Saturday on charges of fleeing an officer after allegedly stealing gasoline from the pumps of a gas station in Tripoli. The driver was wanted by the Winnebago County Sheriff for contempt of court on a drug charge, the Waupaca County Sheriff for a misdemeanor theft charge, and the Wisconsin Department of Corrections for violating the terms of his probation. The man was placed on probation due to a felony conviction of possession of methamphetamine.

One person reported striking a deer last week.
