Antoinette “Toni” Lang
Antoinette “Toni” M. Lang, 78, of Marathon died peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2020, at Pride TLC in Weston.
She was the youngest of seven children, born Nov. 8, 1941, at Wausau Hospital, the daughter of the late Rupert Sr. and Annette (Cepuder) Kurtzweil. She grew up on the family farm in the town of Emmet and graduated from Stratford High School. On July 16, 1960, she married Lloyd P. Lang at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Halder. Her husband of 56 years preceded her in death on April 11, 2017.
Toni worked as a medical secretary, beginning her career at St. Mary’s Hospital in Wausau and then for area private practices, completing her career at the clinic in Marathon City. She enjoyed volunteering for the Marathon County Blood Bank for many years. Toni then became involved in local politics, starting out as a poll worker and first elected in 1985 as treasurer for the town of Cassel. In 1987, she was elected to town clerk where she proudly served her constituents until her retirement in 2015. As an avid reader, she kept up with policies and regulations and was active in government and politics. She enjoyed helping others and striking up conversations. Many good visits were spent with neighbors around the picnic table. She had a knack for listening and people felt comfortable talking with her.
Together with her husband they built a successful dairy and ginseng farm business. Lots of hard work and fun she would say! Her personal greatest achievement was seven fold … grooming the “seven wonders of the world,” their children. She would share that even though they were raised in the same environment, each have their own unique personalities, talents, creative interests and professions. She loved when her grandchildren would stop in so she could hear what they were up to. Grandma had the best swimming pool and ice cream stash, and made the most delicious French toast!
She is survived by her seven children, Bruce (Debora) Lang, Marathon, Beth Ann (Rick) Sandrini, Weston, Linda (Brian) Heise, Marathon, Mary Kay (Don) Hagenbucher, Marathon, Carolyn (Steve) Metz, Boulder Junction, Brenda (Wally) Skic, Merrill and Ann (Roger) Seubert, Marathon; 17 grandchildren, Kyle (Tracy), Megan (Felipe), Jordan (Katelyn), Kelsey (Andrew), Chad (Jen), Tyler, Amanda (Brett), Nicole (Hatembo), Brianna (Luke),Jonathan, Jacob, Katie, Stephanie, Ethan, Remington, Cassidy and Spencer; and 15 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Taelyn, Jayden, Jaxon, Camden, Beckett, Madden, Zachary, Logan, Brayden, Cameron, Emersyn, Aubrey, Luyando and Chabota and siblings Floreine Kurtzweil, Dorothy (Bill) Sauer and Cecilia Kurtzweil.
Along with her parents and husband, Lloyd, she was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Hunter, and siblings Maryanne Kurtzweil, Valerie (Tony) Flipovitch, and Rupert (Patricia) Kurtzweil Jr.
A private funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marathon. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. A Celebration of Life with family, neighbors and friends will be held at a later date on the front lawn where Toni enjoyed her time, after gathering restrictions are lifted.

Glen Nelson
Glen H. Nelson, 91, of Schofield passed away peacefully April 15, 2020, at Rennes Health and Rehab Center. Glen was born June 20, 1928, in Wausau, Wisconsin, to late Clarence and Anna (Drehmel) Nelson. He married Lorraine Marie Treu in 1949, who preceded him in death.
Glen was a hard worker, first for the Wausau Fire Department and then American Can and Weyerhaeuser in Rothschild, before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed watching sports (especially the Brewers) and playing church league dartball for St. Paul’s Hornets. He also worked on St. Paul’s Church Work Crew. Glen loved the fellowship of snowmobiling with the Rothschild Urbanaires Snowmobile Club. He spent deer season at the R&R lodge where he was the cook for over 35 years. He appreciated a green yard and worked diligently on it as well as enjoying a beer every day.
Glen is survived by his sons, Garland (Peggy Ramsey) and Kurt (Donna Bindl) Nelson; daughter, Carrie Nelson Stotler; as well as his brother Jack (Mae) Nelson and sister, Betty (Bob) Andrew. He is further survived by four grandchildren; Nick (Jenny) Nelson, Pam Nelson, Chris (Heather) Nelson and Nikki (Erik) Steigerwald; and five great-grandchildren, Eli and Gavin Nelson, Stella and Gavin Steigerwald and Bryn Nelson. He was preceded in death by his son Doyle and special friend Elva VanVonderen.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 426 Washington St., Wausau. Pastor Philip Schneider will officiate. Visitation will take place at 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Entombment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park. Service date and times are subject to change due to COVID-19. Yvonne Jessup
Yvonne Kay Jessup, 79, of Rothschild passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, April 18, at Pride TLC Therapy and Living Campus, Weston, Wisconsin. Yvonne was born in Wausau, Wisconsin, on July 24, 1940. She was the second of three children to the late Frank Richey and Amy Richey (Kalvestrand) of Rothschild. Yvonne was united in marriage to the love of her life and high school sweetheart, H. Thomas Jessup (of Portage, Wisconsin) on June 27, 1959, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Portage.
Yvonne grew up in Rothschild until her senior year in high school. She moved to Portage at that time and graduated from Portage High School in 1958. As an adolescent, Yvonne enjoyed working on her family farm with her siblings in Rothschild. Later as a teen, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Divine Savior hospital in Portage. After high school, Yvonne and Tom were married and began their journey of 60+ years together. They lived in many different towns and cities as they raised their family including Fond Du Lac, Portage, Baraboo, Seattle, Washington, South Milwaukee, Marshfield and Rothschild. In Seattle, Yvonne worked at Boeing Co. as a tool specialist.
After Yvonne and Tom returned to Wisconsin, she stayed at home raising their three sons while also working part time as co-owner of their family business, retiring in 2005. For the past 46 years, they lived in the house she and Tom built themselves in Rothschild. In the early years of her marriage, Yvonne enjoyed camping with her husband, Tom, and their young family. She also enjoyed bowling with her girlfriends. Yvonne was an avid decorator, creating many arts and crafts for their home over the years. She also loved to read, sew, knit and travel.
While raising her children during their adolescence and teen years, Yvonne was active in giving back to her community and church. She helped co-found St Mark’s Fall Festival and the D.C. Everest Basketball Booster Club. During their empty-nester and retirement years, Yvonne and Tom loved to travel including many trips to Florida during the winter months. Watching and feeding the wildlife, including deer and wild turkeys, that congregated in the woods behind her Rothschild home, was also something Yvonne enjoyed in her later years. Lastly, Yvonne loved family and one of her greatest joys was attending her children’s and later, grandchildren’s, school and sporting events.
Survivors include her loving husband of 60+ years, H Thomas, her three sons, two daughters-in-law and six grandchildren: Hal Jessup (Palm Coast, Florida), John and Julie (Noblesville, Indiana), and their children Michael, Melissa and Megan; Mark and Lisa Jessup (Grafton, Wisconsin) and their children Sarah, Allison and Amanda. Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents Frank Richey and Amy Richey (Kalvestrand) and sister Yolanda.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Ascension St Clare’s Hospital, Weston, and all the wonderful nurses and staff at Pride TLC Weston. In addition, a special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Bart Issacson from Marshfield Clinic.
A private funeral Mass for immediate family will be celebrated at St Mark’s Catholic Church, with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Alice Nelmark
Alice Louise Wetzel Nelmark, 82, of Mosinee left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on Saturday, April 18, 2020. Alice was born on April 8, 1938, in New Martinsville, West Virginia, to Goldie Mae Wetzel.
Alice loved her three sons: Randall (Laura) Berger of Bayfield, Wisconsin, Kevin (Karla) Berger of Wausau, and Kelly (Carrie) Berger of Mosinee and daughter: Dana (Ronald) Parr of Weirton, West Virginia. Alice was blessed to have two granddaughters: Alicia Gardino and Jessie Utecht and four grandsons: Joshua, Michael, Terri, and Kasse Berger as well as four step-grandchildren: Brady and Andrew Larson and Ian and Carmin Wipperfurth.
Alice was a proud great grandmother to 11 great grandchildren. Alice worked hard in her life to support her children. She cared for elderly people in her home.
She attended community college to further her career in management. She followed her sons to Wisconsin in 1984. Alice married Renold Nelmark in 2002. He has been waiting for her in heaven since 2016.
Alice will be dearly missed, especially by her family. We would like to thank the wonderful staff of Aspirus Hospice Health for their compassionate care.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Delores “Lori” Zeinert
Delores “Lori” Zeinert, 82, formerly of Wittenberg passed away peacefully with family at her side on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Park Vista Retirement Home in Waupaca.
Delores Eileen Conley was born on April 1, 1938, in Harvard, Illinois, to Charles and Alice (Pennington) Conley.
She was united in marriage to Jerald N. Zeinert on Sept. 19, 1958, in Seattle, Washington. He preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 2009.
Lori enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, camping, fishing and playing cards. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include five children, Keith Zeinert and his children and grandchildren, Cristy Zeinert-Maltbey (Logan, Ellie, Kaitlyn), Shawn (Tanya) Zeinert (Tatum, Jayden and Mason) and Andrea (Dave) Rebstock (Vincent and Ali), Kevin (Michelle) Zeinert and his children and grandchildren, Shantelle Zeinert (Kaely, Takao, Anna and Tevin), Nick (Vicki) Johnson (Dominic, Savannah, Adrianna and Devin) and Ashley Johnson (Braden), Glen Zeinert, Darcy (Peggy) Zeinert and Denise (David) Karch and her children and grandchildren, Torey (Tiago) Moro de Castro (Giovanni and Lorenzo), Haelee (David) Estis (Greysen), Mackenzie Karch, Brian (Laura) Karch (Aeden and Madelyn) and Sarah (Mike) Kortz (James); a sister, Diane Scillo of Seattle, WA and two sisters-in-law, Pat Zeinert and Patty Zeinert as well as several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lori was preceded in death by her husband; parents and in-laws along with her two brothers, Duane and Donald; brothers-in-law, Tom Scillo, DelLoyde Zeinert, Larry Zeinert, Ricky Zeinert and Clarence ‘Gooby’ Olson and two sisters-in-law, Julaine Olson and Bonnie Zeinert.
A Celebration of Life for Lori will be held at a later date.
