WAUSAU — The city expects to begin several road construction projects that will take anywhere from two to three weeks to complete beginning April 27.

Construction will begin on Stewart Avenue between 18th Avenue and the Highway 52 Parkway on April 27. The work will include concrete pavement and curb and gutter repair. One lane of travel will be open in each direction. Motorists should anticipate possible delays and slowed traffic. The project is expected to take about three weeks.

Construction will begin on Merrill Avenue between Fernwood Drive and Union Avenue on April 28. The project will include milling asphalt, adjusting manhole structures and placing new asphalt. Both northbound and southbound outside lanes will be closed during the construction. Motorists should anticipate possible delays and slowed traffic. The work should take about two weeks.

Work will begin on Franklin Street between LaSalle and N. 13th streets on April 30. Construction will include milling asphalt, adjusting manhole structures and placing new asphalt.
