Jane Rosentreter
Jane M. Rosentreter, 69, died Saturday, April 25, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. She was born Aug. 22, 1950, in Wausau, daughter of the late Donald and Rosemary (Nelson) Rempke. On Feb. 21, 1970, she married Daryll Rosentreter at St. Paul Catholic Church, Mosinee. Jane worked as a nurse in the oncology department at Aspirus for over 30 years.
Jane was a woman of formidable faith who devoted her life to the service and well-being of others, her husband and children, above all. Her compassion, selflessness and love for others was evident in all her interactions and she dedicated her career as an oncology registered nurse to advocate for the people who could not advocate for themselves. She spent her retirement years continuing to serve others through volunteering at various charitable organizations and encouraging the well-being of her family above her own. Jane was never one to sit idle and when she was not dedicating her time to others, she could typically be found enjoying one of her many hobbies, including enjoying nature and bird watching, crocheting, canning, cooking, sewing, gardening and reading. Jane touched the lives of everyone she met and she will be greatly missed. She was the matriarch of the Rosentreter family and her spirit will live on through all of them.
She is survived by her husband Daryll and three children: Tress, Chad (Amelia) and Michael. Three grandchildren: Olivia, Brennan, and Emerson. Three grand-dogs, Gloria, Jack, and Spyro. Two sisters: Therese (John) Maguire, Mary (Xavier) Martin. One sister-in-law, Linda Ploeger, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne Parish, Wausau. Rev. Tom Lindner will preside. There will be a live stream of the funeral Mass on the Peterson Kraemer Funeral Home Facebook page at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 3400 Stewart Ave., Wausau. Family and friends wishing to pay their respects are asked to practice social distancing and keep the state recommendation of 10 or fewer individuals present at one time in mind.

Ronald Raatz
Ronald Raatz, 84, of Wausau passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Ron was born in Wausau on June 6, 1935, to the late LeRoy and Gertrude (Boerke) Raatz. He and his brother, Gene, were raised by Aunt Onnie and Donald Green and Nettie and Bob Green.
Ron graduated from Wausau High School in 1954 and attended Northcentral Technical College, earning a degree in drafting. He then moved to LaCrosse, working as a draftsman for Seiman Lumber.
On June 30, 1956, Ron married Nancy Hildebrandt at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Wausau. Nancy joined Ron in LaCrosse starting their family of five sons, Michael, Keith, Tim, Tom and David.
After working for Holmen Lumber, Ron and his family moved back to Wausau where Ron worked for Schuette Lumber and retired in 2002 from Wickes Lumber. Some of his favorite pastimes included deer and grouse hunting in Somo, fishing at the cottage on Lake Katherine, putting together model cars and solving word search puzzles. He enjoyed his morning coffee watching “GMA” and “Live with Regis and Kelly.” A simple backyard cookout with family and friends brought him nothing but joy and happiness.
We remember Dad as a kind, loving and caring man. He truly loved our Mom and his family.
Survivors include four sons, Michael (Debbie) of Wausau, Tim of Weston, Tom of Wausau, David (Penny) of Wausau, six grandchildren, Brianna, Molly, Martin, Jennifer, Eric (Lindsay) and Amy (Remy) and four great grandchildren, Mari, Marcus, Jake and Josie. Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, two children Keith and Karen and his brother, Gene.

Larry Sickler
Larry W. Sickler, 89, formerly of Wittenberg died on Sunday, April 26, 2020, at his home in Rothschild.
He was born on Dec. 15, 1930, in Shawano County, the son of Reynolds and Edna (Hanke) Sickler.
Larry was a 1949 graduate of Wittenberg High School. He then joined the United States Marines and served his country from 1951 to 1953. Larry was an active member of the Bloecher-Johnson American Legion Post #502, Wittenberg.
On July 10, 1954, Larry was united in marriage to Patricia Jacobson in Wittenberg.
Larry farmed for 25 years and was a rural mail carrier, retiring in 1992. He was formerly an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg, and was currently a member of Rib Mountain Lutheran Church. Larry enjoyed gardening, deer hunting and loved visiting with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife, Pat; children, Paula (Rick) Schulta of Eagle River, Scott (Jackie) Sickler of Wittenberg, Mark Sickler of Mosinee and Jon (Kristi) Sickler of Appleton; grandchildren, Patrick and Luke Schulta, Jamie (Antonio) Chevez, Angela (John) Zogata, Noah Sickler, Alyssa (Mark) Streveler and Brittany (friend Patrick) Sickler; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister Vernabelle Fleck and sisters-in-law, Bernice Sickler and Shirley Jacobson.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Zachary Sickler; a brother, Gordon Sickler; a sister, Isabelle Borchardt and brothers-in-law, Ray Borchardt and Harold Fleck.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, Wittenberg. Rev. Timothy Swanson will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion. There will be a celebration of Larry’s life immediately following at Washington Park in Wittenberg.

Marie Tryba
Marie K. Tryba, 76, of Hatley died on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at her home.
Marie was born on Aug. 10, 1943, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Roman and Angeline (Ostrowski) Stoltz.
On May 19, 1962, Marie was united in marriage to LeRoy Tryba at St. Florian’s Catholic Church, Hatley.
Marie worked at Hatley Veneer prior to working as a window assembler at Kolbe & Kolbe for over 20 years. She loved family gatherings and going for rides. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and listening to polka music. Marie could always be found tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and collecting Barbie Dolls.
Marie is survived by her husband, LeRoy; three daughters, Debra (Steven) Brosman, Lorrie (Mark) Janikowski, and Diane Tryba; three sons, Gregory (Rose) Tryba, Bill (Liz) Tryba, and Dennis (Kari) Tryba; 15 grandchildren, Gregory (Chelsea Westcott), Michael, Daniel (Sarah Borkowski) and Ryan Brosman, Tiffany (Ben Herzfeldt) and Tanner Janikowski, Travis (Renee), Cody, and Breanna (Cody Hackbarth) Wanta, Tyler (Sarah) and Taylor (Colton Belott) Tryba, Heather (Keith) Knaup, Hannah Tryba, Katie (Dustin Lueck) and Nickolous Tryba; great-grandchildren, James, Brantley, Kylah, Aurora, Everly and Nolan; along with her beloved ‘fur babies’, Digger and Peanuts; three sisters, Henrietta Stoltz, Eileen (David) Milanowski, and Janet Cieslewicz as well as many other relatives and friends.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Angeline Stoltz, and her brother, Richard Stoltz.

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be held following the visitation. Rev. Gregory Bohren will preside. The family invites those wishing to join them for a graveside service in the parish cemetery at 12:15 p.m. to do so while practicing social distancing.
