WAUSAU — The Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin and United Way of Marathon County continue to address the needs of local nonprofits through the COVID-19 Community Response Fund. As of April 30, $244,800.00 has been invested directly back to the area, the organizations announced today.

With the Community Foundation covering all administrative fees, 100 percent of your donation is being invested directly back into the community.

Community support, generous people, businesses and organizations have allowed the two organizations to provide flexible funding for organizations who are disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus and the economic consequences of the outbreak. It is this support that has allowed for thirty-three grants to be funded, including in areas of childcare, food security and basic needs, shelter/rent and utility assistance, legal assistance, access to medical care and education/youth services.

The fund has raised over $335,000. To view a complete list of donors, visit https://www.unitedwaymc.org/community-response-fund/.
