WAUSAU– The Grand Theater will announce its 2020-2021 season during an online streaming event at 7 p.m. June 1.
The evening will include the live announcement of the new season, special performances and special guests.
The live announcement will be available online at www.grandtheater.org, on The Grand’s Facebook page, and on The Grand’s YouTube channel and then archived for later viewing.
“While we wish we were gathering in person for the annual Preview Party, we can’t wait to come together virtually and share the 20/21 season,” said Sean Wright, executive director of The Grand in a news release. “We know that things might be a little different for the upcoming season, but we are committed to our mission of bringing the best in the performing arts to our region. This long ‘intermission’ has reminded us more than ever of the power of the arts and of coming together to enjoy them.”
The Grand will start taking subscription orders online and by phone at 9 a.m. June 2. As in previous years, ordering tickets to four or more shows gives subscribers access to up to 15 percent in discounts, advance seating before the general public, and other exclusive benefits. In light of the uncertainty of the upcoming months, The Grand will also offer flexibility to subscribers for exchanges and refunds in the upcoming season.
