Two people were injured Monday morning and a third person was arrested on alcohol-related charges in a two vehicle crash on Hwy. 17, officials said.

The crash was reported at 10:39 a.m. Monday at Hwy. 17 and CTH C. Two Michigan residents were transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital by ambulance, officials said.

Their current conditions have not been released.

The driver of a second vehicle, a 61-year-old resident of Sagola, Mich. was taken into custody on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Official charges are pending. No names have been released.

The Town of Russell Fire Department and First Responders assisted at the scene.
