A 31-year-old Mosinee man is dead following a crash Sunday on Hwy. NN west of Wausau, Marathon County Sheriff’s officials confirmed Monday.

The single-vehicle crash was called in at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday, May 25, near Greenhouse Road in the town of Marathon.

Deputies arrived on scene at about 8:20 p.m. and discovered a man ejected from the vehicle. The victim, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the victim as Jacob Harrington, of Mosinee.

Units from SAFER and Marathon Fire Department, along with the Wisconsin State Patrol, assisted at the scene.

Police say speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash, though the investigation is ongoing.
