WAUSAU – The Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art will be open from noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays beginning May 28.

It’s new exhibit, “Building the Aggregate,” comprises paintings and studies by nationally recognized artist Craig Blietz.

“This exhibition is a survey of this work dating from 2007 up to the present day,” Blietz said in a news release. “It is designed to exhibit the evolution of my narrative style over this time period by showing exemplary examples of paintings, drawings and sculpture from bodies of work made during those years. Importance has also been given to process by displaying working sketches and studies for paintings in the exhibition.”

There will be social distancing in practice and masks are encouraged. There will be no reception for the artist for this exhibit. Instead, the museum is planning a Zoom virtual reception toward the end of the show so people can view at their leisure. Details are forthcoming.
