Drunken driving and possession of marijuana in Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department log for June 1, 2020.

Lincoln County deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway A near Bill France Way in the town of Bradley on Monday morning. The first vehicle struck a deer and lost control striking the second vehicle. No injuries were reported. 

A 58-year-old Tomahawk man was cited for travelling 92 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway JJ near Rock Falls Drive in the town of Rock Falls Monday afternoon. 

Three people received minor injuries following a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon. One of the passengers was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. 

A 34-year-old Merrill man was cited for operating after revocation 4th offense following a traffic stop on Highway K near Creek Avenue in the town of Scott Tuesday night. 

A 31-year-old Merrill woman learned she was the victim of a forgery/ fraud when she attempted to make a withdrawal from her bank account. She was advised her account was overdrawn by $500. In reviewing recent transactions, she learned her debit card had nearly $800 charged to it in which she did not do. The investigation continues in this matter. 

A 39-year-old Merrill man was arrested for possession of marijuana third offense and possession of drug paraphernalia following a report of suspicious activity in the town of Schley on Saturday evening. 

A 20-year-old La Crosse man was cited for traveling 100 mph in a 65 mph zone along with operating without a license and operating a vehicle without insurance following a traffic stop on Highway 51 near Lincoln Drive in the town of Merrill Saturday night. 

Fourteen people reported striking deer last week. A bear was struck and killed on Highway 8 near Honey Road on Thursday morning.
