A 50-year-old woman is dead and another person is injured after the couple’s motorcycle struck a deer, police said.
Price County officials say the crash happened Saturday afternoon on Hwy. 182 at Camp 9 Road in the town of Eisenstein, several miles east of Park Falls.
A preliminary investigation suggests the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Hwy. 182 and struck a deer.
The victim was a passenger on the motorcycle, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 50-year-old man from Bear Creek, was transported to Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls for treatment of his injuries. Police have not specified his current condition.
The crash is under investigation by the Price County Sheriff’s Department.
No names have been released.
