One person is dead and two people are injured following a crash Sunday in Wood County.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has identified 32-year-old William Walsdorf, of Manitowoc, as the victim who died at the scene of the crash. Police say Walsdorf was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Courtney L. Weichart.
A preliminary investigation shows a dump truck driven by Ronald Gallon failed to yield at at the intersection of Hwy. 73 and Hwy. 186 in the town of Sigel and crashed into Weichart’s vehicle. The crash happened shortly before noon on Sunday.
Weichart and her son were both injured in the crash and were transported to Marshfield Medical Center for treatment. Police have not specified the severity of their injuries.
Gallon suffered mild injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
