Dear editor,

In regards to Denis Tan’s editorial “All Lives Matter,” I’m certain Mr Tan’s heart was in the right place when he wrote this well-intended editorial.

Usually the All Lives Matter slogan is delivered with divisiveness, and I don’t believe Mr. Tan intended that whatsoever. However, I do ask people to think of Black Lives Matter as meaning “Black Lives Matter Too,” and not at the expense of other lives. That’s not what the BLM phrase means. It’s addressing a specific issue for the black community and strives for equality and justice for all people.

Thanks.
