Police in Stevens Point are searching for a man accused of attacking two women early Friday morning with a baseball bat, severely injuring both victims.
Lavonte Green, 32, has been identified as a person of interest in the attack, which was reported at about 2:30 a.m. Friday in the 2700 block of Lindbergh Avenue.
One woman suffered head injuries; a second woman was injured on her arm, authorities said.
Police say they want to speak with Green, who witnesses say fled the scene of the attack.

Authorities are calling the attack an isolated incident and do not believe there is any danger to the public.
