Dear editor,
Just returned from a 10-day visit with my family living in Campbellsport and West Bend. They took turns making sure I got to see as much as possible. It was a wonderful 10 days.
On my return to the airport at Milwaukee, I was thrilled to drive through the town of Wausau, who email me a copy of the Pilot every day here in Long Beach, California. Wish we could have stopped.
Must say, I genuinely envy you all for the good sense you’ve used in choosing Wisconsin for your homes. Those who have never lived anywhere else may not value your choice as much as I, but the Heartland is admired and appreciated by many of us city folks on the coasts.
You folks are the real America. And to quote General McArthur, “I shall return!”
