Daniel Thiele
Our hearts are heavy as we had to say our earthly goodbyes to Daniel J Thiele. He left our world Thursday June 2, in the early morning hours.
Dan was a fighter, but cancer wasn’t backing down. While he grew weary in the battle, it NEVER got the best of him. WE did.
He was a friend, father, son, brother and so much more! Anyone who knew him was truly blessed to have had him in their life. Until we meet again, he leaves us with amazing memories to carry on.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for Dan. Further details are to be announced. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dan’s name. Brainard Funeral Home – Everest Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared at www.brainardfuneral.com.

Brian Flugaur
Brian Anthony Flugaur passed away early Sunday morning, June 28, 2020 at the age of 58. He was born on December 9, 1961 and was adopted by the late Robert and Rose Flugaur on May 15, 1962. Brian grew up in the Stevens Point area, attending local schools and graduating from Pacelli High School in 1980. He entered the United States Army on January 7, 1981. He served as a Motor Transport Operator in Germany and continued to drive truck as a profession of choice throughout his career. He was honorably discharged on December 29, 1983. He married Eileen (Wiedeman) Stibb on August 1, 1987. They had two daughters, Alyssa and Andrea. He married Crystal (Kuklinski) Coerper on September 10, 2011.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rose Flugaur, as well as his beloved canine companion, Gretchen.
Brian is survived by his wife, Crystal Flugaur of Rosholt; his two daughters, Alyssa (Justin) Graze of Peoria, Illinois and Andrea Gomez of Rosholt, as well as his granddaughter, Sophia Gomez; and their much-loved canine companion, Sasha. He is also survived by his sister, Linda (Don) Bella of Tucson, Arizona; his father-in-law, Onofry “Oney” Kuklinski of Bevent; mother-in-law Joyce Bara of Milwaukee; his brother-in-law, Bryan (Kim) Kuklinski of Wauwatosa; and by his prior wife, Eileen Flugaur.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 6:00 pm at the Kuklinski Family Land, 173643 Kennel Lane, Hatley. Visitation will be held from 4:30 pm until the time of service. Social distancing and masks are strongly encouraged. Please be sure to bring a smile, a memory and a chair to the services.

Kaye Schade
Kaye Ellen (Schultz) Schade, 72, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2020 surrounded by her family at Aspirus Hospice House in Wausau after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kaye was born January 16, 1948 in Pine River, WI, to the late Harvey and Hilda (Brunsch) Schultz. She graduated from Merrill High School in 1966. She married LaVerne Schade on November 19, 1966 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Merrill. She worked at Wausau Insurance (now Liberty Mutual) in Property/Casualty. She continued her education at Northcentral Technical College. She later worked at Manson Insurance.
Kaye was devoted above all else to her family. She tirelessly cared for multiple generations of family members. Friends knew her as a loving mother and grandmother. She extended generous hospitality to friends and family at home. She enjoyed reading, sitting at the bonfire with family and neighbors, enjoying the patio during warm dry weather in summer seasons, camping, enjoying Family Clausen shows and shows at the Grand Theater. She enjoyed researching ancestry, board games, and card club nights. She especially enjoyed her Canadian Rockies Trip with Vern. Kaye was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved her grandsons’ sporting events and spending time with her children and grandchildren most of all.
Kaye’s volunteer work included St. Mark’s Ladies Guild, LWML, Marathon County Agricultural Society, Bethesda Lutheran Communities, Friends of Bell Towers, and Women’s Club.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Vern Schade, Wausau; daughter, Brenda Lee (Justin) Holmes, Milwaukee; and son, Michael (Laurie Markus) Schade and their children, Mitchell and Bryce, Marshfield. She is also survived by extended family members. She was preceded in death by her brother, John (Jack) Schultz.
Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, Kaye’s funeral service will be live-streamed at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at www.brainardfuneral.com during which a private family service will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Wausau. Rev. Eric Hauan will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be designated by the family at a later date.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Christopher Peterson and his staff; the staff of Aspirus Oncology Inpatient and Palliative Care Units; the staff at Rennes Care Center and Applegate Terrace; and the staff at Aspirus Hospice House who lovingly cared for Kaye. A special thank you goes to Jenny Olson, Kaye’s niece, for all the extra love and attention that she devoted to Kaye during the duration of her illness.
Delma Jahnke
Delma M. Elizabeth Jahnke, age 99, of Wausau entered into Eternal Life with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Benedictine Living Community under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services. She was born on March 7, 1921 in Rib Falls, the daughter of the late Reinhold and Malvina (Steidinger) Buchholz. Delma was baptized April 5, 1921 and confirmed in the Christian faith on May 20, 1934 by Reverend Theodore Nagler. On June 2, 1943 she married Mynard Jahnke at the Rib Falls Methodist Church. They resided in Marathon City from 1952 till 1984. Mynard preceded her in death on January 28, 1989.
As well as raising her four children, Delma worked at the Pauly Cheese Company (a division of Swift & Co.) for 27 years, retiring in 1984. She and her husband, Mynard, then moved Up North to their home on Blue Lake in Minocqua, Wisconsin. While there, she worked for a couple seasons at the Diamond Inn. Delma loved to watch the birds come to their numerous feeders, the deer crossing the lawn and the squirrels jumping from tree to tree, gathering food for the winter. She loved the outdoors, the blue sky, green grass and all the lakes and flowers – and especially loved working in her gardens. Her talent of embroidery was apparent in all the dishtowels and pillowcases she made for her family. She also was a fantastic cook and made the best desserts.
Delma was a humble, God-fearing woman of strong faith. She was a member of the Rib Falls United Methodist Church and attended Bible Study Classes. She enjoyed the travelogues at the Grand Theatre in Wausau and was fortunate to visit her cousin in Texas and take family trips to Yellowstone National Park, Mackinac Island, Canada, the Pennsylvania Amish Country, and a special trip to Durango, Colorado. She especially enjoyed a Caribbean cruise with her dear friend, Harold Radke, as well as a 1994 Branson Christmas tour with relatives.
Delma is survived by her children: Roxanne (Mike) Denfeld, Ringle; Barbara Jahnke Dotson, Wausau; Vernon (Kathy) Jahnke, Durango, CO; and very-special family friend Sharlene Hieronimus, Wausau; as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mynard; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell (Victoria) Jahnke; sister, Florence (Ervin) Haehlke; and brother, Davey Lee Buchholz.
She had a heart of gold; truly a one-of-a-kind person that will be dearly missed, but lovingly remembered in the hearts of her family. “Thank you, Mom, for the wonderful life you have given us.”
The family of Delma wishes to thank Aspirus Comfort Care & Hospice Services for their help with their mom along with the staff at Benedictine Living Community of Wausau.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00, Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce Street, Wausau. Visitation will begin at 10:00 until the time of service. Because we care about family and friends, facemasks are recommended and social distancing will be observed. Seating during the service will be limited by household social distancing. Burial will follow at Rib Falls United Methodist Church where Delma’s mortal body will be laid to rest, there to await the resurrection of the dead on the Last Day.

Marie Gau
Marie L. Gau, age 97 of Wausau, passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Wausau Manor under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
She was born in Marathon on August 28, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gassner) Krautkramer. Marie married Earl Larrabee, who preceded her in death. She married Roman Gau on August 27, 1969, at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wrightsville Beach, NC. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Marie was an active member of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish. Her faith was very important to her. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Council, and helped prepare many funeral luncheons.
Survivors include her three step-sons, Roman (Peggy) Gau of Georgia, Duane (Carol) Gau of Wausau, and Vincent (Debbie) Gau of Wausau; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her brother, Lyle Krautkramer of Weston; two sisters, Ceil Zins of Wausau, and Irene Cihlar of Marathon; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, sisters, Delores Rader and Florence Witberlen; and brothers, Alois, Carl, LeRoy, and Joseph Krautkramer.
A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Wausau. The Rev. Samuel Martin will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Marathon. Public visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 6 at Helke Funeral Home, 302 Spruce St. Wausau. We encourage visitors to wear face masks and social distancing will be observed. Terry M. Dombrowski
Terry Michael Dombrowski, 23, of Wausau, died unexpectedly Thursday, July 2, at his mother’s home.
A celebration of Terry’s life will take place on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Wausau. The Rev. Peter Kieffer will preside. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Social distancing guidelines will be practiced and the family requests for face coverings to be used during the visitation and the funeral. He was born June 28, 1997, in Milwaukee, to Nancy (Madden) Nelson. He grew up in Wittenberg and Hatley before moving to Wausau when his mother married Brian Nelson in 2012. Terry graduated from Wausau West High School in 2015.
Terry loved baseball, football, playing video games and fishing with his Grandpa. Most of all, Terry loved his son Finnegan Warren Dombrowski.
Terry had a gentle soul and loved to help people. He spent time working as a caregiver providing in-home care for the elderly. He was starting a career in the field of sales service industry.
Terry is survived by his mother, Nancy of Wausau; stepfather, Brian Nelson of Wausau; son, Finnegan of Marshfield; half-brother, Jonathon Dombrowski of Milwaukee; grandparents, Donald and Fern Madden of Wisconsin Rapids; aunts, Sandy (Tom Baker) Madden of Minocqua and Karen Madden of Wisconsin Rapids and numerous other relatives and friends.
We love you and will miss you Terry. May you find peace and contentment in heaven.
Thomas Anthony Stanley, Sr.
Cecil Lyle Stanley, US Army Staff Sgt deployed in England during WWII, met an Irishwoman, Anne Murtagh and fell in love. They married, and on May 10, 1945, Thomas Anthony Stanley was born in Kingston, England. Cecil sent Anne and 3 year old Tom off on the Queen Mary to Milwaukee, WI, where he joined them after his service.
On July 9, 1966, Tom married Sharlene Schneider, the love of his life. Together they had 5 children, who gave them 10 grandchildren (one of greeted him in Heaven), and 9 great-grandchildren at the time of his passing. Tom is also survived by 7 of his 9 siblings.
Tom spent 40 years in the trucking industry, but his greatest contribution during his time on Earth was having a hand in raising well over 100 treatment foster sons, kids that had been in trouble, many from broken and dysfunctional homes. Some stayed for a few weeks, some for a few years, and many maintained contact into their adult lives. Special among them is the son of Tom’s heart, Ryan, who has been a part of the family for decades now and in Tom’s final years, was at once a son, and a friend.
Thomas Anthony Stanley Sr. was a plain-spoken, gruff, imperfect man with a kind, generous and loving heart that made him beloved by many, including his friend of many years, Rick.
