The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office will sponsor two Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources certified hunter’s safety courses. The date, times and location for the courses are as follows:
July 20 through July 22: 9 a.m. to noon each day
July 20 through July 22: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day
The courses will be held at the Oneida County Law Enforcement Center, 2000 East Winnebago St., Rhinelander.
Age requirement. Anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1973 must have hunter’s safety to hunt in Wisconsin.
Students are now required to obtain a DNR customer ID number for any recreational safety class they attend. Contact the DNR at 888-936-7463 to obtain this number before the course begins.
Students must be 12 years old to enroll. There is no maximum age, and parents and adults are encouraged to enroll and participate in this course. Cost for each course is $10 per person.

Students with special needs should notify the department when registering and request special accommodations that might be needed for participation.
