One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Thursday in the town of Scott, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
A preliminary investigation shows that a motor vehicle was stopped at the south intersection of County Rd K at County Rd Q when it was rear ended by a second vehicle that was traveling south. The crash was reported at 1:28 PM.
The driver of the stopped vehicle was fatally injured in the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene by Lincoln County Coroner Paul C. Proulx.
A reconstruction team from the Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
No names have yet been released.
The Merrill Fire Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Lincoln County Highway Department, and Med E Vac Helicopter assisted at the scene.
