WAUSAU – With the 2020-21 school year just weeks away, school officials throughout north central Wisconsin are working to find the best blueprint for getting students back to the classroom safely for the first time in six months, even as the number of COVID-19 infections continues to rise in Wisconsin. 

At 10 a.m. today, July 17, Wisconsin Public Radio’s “Route 51” host Shereen Siewert welcomes D.C. Everest School District Superintendent Kristine Gilmore  and Chequamegon School District Administrator Mark Weddig for a discussion on plans to reopen schools in the fall while keeping teachers, staff, students and parents healthy.
