One person was injured in a rollover crash Friday involving two vehicles, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.
At about 6:22 p.m. Friday, dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a two-vehicle crash in the northbound lane of Hwy. 51 at Lincoln Drive with one vehicle flipped onto its roof and the driver trapped inside.
An initial investigation revealed that one vehicle was trying to cross Highway 51 on Lincoln Drive when it struck another vehicle that was traveling northbound on Highway 51.
The driver of the struck vehicle was extricated and taken to a local hospital with an arm injury.
Highway 51 was shut down between County Rd K and Lincoln Dr until the vehicles were removed.
Merrill Fire/EMS, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Merrill PD and Tomahawk EMS all assisted with the crash.
