Central Wisconsin Book Festival

WAUSAU – The Central Wisconsin Book Festival will host a virtual event with award-winning author and journalist Timothy Egan, who will discuss his newest book “A Pilgrimage to Eternity: From Canterbury to Rome in Search of Faith” on Sept. 25.

Egan’s titular “pilgrimage” was a thousand-mile trek along the Via Francigena, once a major thoroughfare for devout Christians in Europe, as he explored both the roots of Christianity and its place in his own family. Egan, a recipient of the National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize, is the author of nine books and currently writes an opinion column for the New York Times. A Q&A will follow the reading.

This virtual event is free and open to the public. It is part of the all-virtual 2020 Central Wisconsin Book Festival, happening Sept. 21-27. More details on this event, and other CWBF events, will be available soon. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit www.mcpl.us/cwbf.
