A 24-year-old Portage County man is dead after a motorcycle crash in the Portage County town of Almond, according to a news release.
The crash was reported at about 7 a.m. Friday, July 24 on CTH JJ and Brady Road. An initial investigation shows the motorcycle driver, later identified as Jakub Cieslweicz, was traveling south on JJ when he struck a deer, police said.
A 911 caller reported the crash after discovering Cieslweicz lying in the roadway.
Cieslweicz, of the town of Buena Vista, was flown by Spirit helicopter to Marshfield Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
No additional information was immediately released.
