The Neighbors’ Place: Food Pantry Assistance.  Volunteers are needed to assist in the outdoor food distribution for three-hour shifts. Some volunteers work outdoors and collect basic household information from food pantry guests. Some volunteers also work inside preparing grocery carts for guests to load into their own vehicles.Volunteers are provided with basic safety gear while there. GiGi’s Playhouse Wausau: Committee Members, Program Leads, and More! Gigi’s At Home is happening virtually now. Now and when the physical doors open again, there are volunteer needs. Contact Erica at 715-370-6652 or [email protected].

Homemade Mask Distribution. If you have homemade masks to donate to individuals or groups, or if you are an individual or group that needs masks, see our website, unitedwaymc.galaxydigital.com/, or contact Krista, to be connected, at 715-298-5719 or [email protected]. 

In-Kind Donated Items Needed

Response to COVID-19. Please call the agency first and consider ordering online and having in-kind donations shipped to the specific agency. Please call ahead and arrange with the agency coordinator.

Good News Project: Tennis Balls!  Donations of tennis balls for the Health Equipment Lending Program (HELP Closet) are needed. They are used on the legs of walkers. Contact Toni at 715-843-5985. Tennis balls do not need to be precut. All donations are tax deductible.

Boys and Girls Club: 18″ x 24″ Foam Boards and Magazines. The Boys and Girls Club is expecting many students to participate in empowerment sessions and will be making visions boards. They need 18″ x 24″ foam boards and magazines to cut photos and words out of. Magazines should be appropriate for young girls.
