Police say a man whose body was pulled from the Wisconsin River Monday morning in Wisconsin Rapids has been identified as 46-year-old Pedro Merino Alcantar, of Pittsville.
Alcantar’s body was discovered at about 9:30 a.m. near the Riverview Expressway Bridge.
Preliminary autopsy results suggest that Alcantar, who was last seen July 24 near the Homestead Golf Course, drowned.
