WAUSAU – For the second consecutive year, REI Engineering, Inc. and Northwest Petroleum Services, Inc. will distribute in early August bouquets of sunflowers grown in the REI/NPS sunflower field to nursing home residents, emergency first responders, teachers, healthcare workers and the like.
At the same time, the companies invite residents to visit the field to take pictures or cut a bouquet of sunflowers. In return, they ask you to pay it forward by doing something kind for someone. REI and NPS are also collecting donations of canned goods from visitors to benefit Peyton’s Promise.
The sunflower field is at 4080 N. 20th Ave., in Wausau. Follow the marked signs at the north end of the field.
