Marathon County health officials on Thursday issued additional details about a free COVID-19 testing event planned for Friday in Wausau.

The drive-through and walk-up style nasal swab testing will happen Friday at Northcentral Technical College, 1000 W. Camps Dr., Wausau, in Lot E, a location off Campus Drive. Non-English speaking support is available.

Anyone age 5, with or without symptoms, is eligible for testing.

Health officials say the busiest time for testing at COVID-19 clinics is typically between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., with the shortest wait times between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Electronic registration will happen the day of testing
