A solar power program called Grow Solar Central Wisconsin and utilized by central Wisconsin municipalities is also available to homeowners and businesses in Lincoln, Marathon, Portage and Wood counties.

Under an agreement with a selected installer, North Wind Solar of Stevens Point, solar system costs decrease as more installations are arranged. So far this summer, scheduled installations will generate more than 50 kilowatts of clean, green electricity, the city of Wausau said in a news release.

Presentations will be held Aug. 19, Aug. 28, Sept. 1 and Sept. 9. A virtual presentation schedule is at www.cwsolar.org.

The deadline to participate is Sept. 30.
