A 19-year-old woman is dead and two people are injured following an ATV crash Monday in the Oneida County town of Pine Lake, sheriff’s officials said Tuesday.

Crews were called at about 7:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17 to crash at 4253 Thunder Lake Road after an ATV struck a tree. The 911 caller told dispatchers that three people were injured including one who was semi-conscious.

Police say the ATV was operated by 19-year-old Victoria Brewster, of Illinois, with two passengers. All three were transported to Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Rhinelander. 

Brewster died shortly after arriving at the hospital, police said.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Pine Lake First Responders, Pine Lake Fire Department, Pelican First Responder, Oneida County Ambulance Medic 1 and the Oneida County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Department of Natural Resources is investigation the crash. 

There is no further information available at this time and the names of the injured passengers has not been released.
