WAUSAU – On Aug. 12, 33 veterans attended the Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee group meeting at Marathon Park in Wausau. The meeting is open to all veterans from 10 a.m. to noon.
Chaplin Lester Weko led the group in prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
Herb Westlund presented the history of “Taps”; and Jonathan Lanctin played “Taps” on his bugle.
James Campbell, co-founder and VP of marketing for Never Forgotten Honor Flight, gave a presentation on Honor Flight.
