One person is hospitalized after being airlifted from the scene of a motorcycle crash Wednesday in the Waupaca County town of Helvetia, sheriff’s officials said.

The crash was reported at about 4:25 p.m. on Hwy. E, about one mile south of Hwy. 161.

Police say a female motorcycle driver was traveling northbound and missed a curve in the roadway before entering the east ditch. The driver, whose name and age have not been released, was ejected.

ThedaStar Air Ambulance flew the driver from the scene to a hospital for treatment of her injuries.

The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Iola Police Department, Iola Ambulance, Iola Fire Department, Northwest First Responders, Ogdensburg First Responders and ThedaStar Air Ambulance.

The crash remains under investigation.
