UPDATED: Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash Wednesday in Waupaca County involving an SUV and a school bus, officials confirmed.

About 20 students were aboard the bus when the crash happened at about 12:40 p.m. on Hwy. 45 at County Hwy. N. The bus driver and a teacher were injured but all students were evacuated safely from the bus and returned to Sugar Bush Elementary School to be reunited with parents.

Injuries appeared to be minor, officials said. The driver of the SUV was not injured.

Officials say dense fog was a factor in the crash.

Both lanes of Hwy. 45 at County Hwy. N in Waupaca County are closed Wednesday after a bus crash, with drivers urged to take an alternate route.

Emergency scanner traffic indicated a crash at about 12:40 p.m. involving a bus carrying more than two dozen passengers. There is no immediate word on injuries or whether additional vehicles were part of the crash.
