Wausau Pilot & Review

SCHOFIELD – The Wausau West girls basketball team dominated the second half to pull away and defeat D.C. Everest 75-62 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference game Thursday at D.C. Everest High School.

Lexie White scored 24 points and Audrey Danninger added 16 for West, which improves to 12-3 overall and remains undefeated at 6-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Kiara Hammond had 27 points, and Braelyn Beiler hit five 3-pointers and scored 19 points for D.C. Everest, which drops to 7-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play.

Both teams return to action Friday night. Wausau West travels to Merrill and D.C. Everest will host Wausau East in Wisconsin Valley Conference games.
