Applications for the Habitat for Humanity Home Ownership Program are now being accepted through March 31. Applicants should be currently living in substandard or inadequate housing, seeking housing that will not exceed 30 percent of their income, and willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity in the construction of a new home and promotion of the organization.

Approved low-income applicants can buy a Habitat home with a nonprofit
mortgage and payments over 25 to 30 years, including taxes and insurance. Eligible income limits are between $25,020 and $62,820, depending on family size.

Those interested are highly encouraged to attend an informational meeting to learn more about the application process.

A virtual information meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 17 and an in-person information meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Feb. 22. Registration is required.
