Wausau Pilot & Review

WAUSAU – Mason Prey scored 33 points, surpassing the 1,000-point plateau for his career in the process, to lead the Wausau Newman Catholic boys basketball team to a 82-29 wipeout of Greenwood in a nonconference game Monday night at Newman Catholic High School.

Prey, a junior guard, scored 23 points in the first half as the Cardinals charged out to a 58-12 lead.

Isaac Seidel added 23 points for Newman Catholic, which made 11 3-pointers in the victory and improve to 14-6 this season.

Ryver Glynn scored 13 points and Christian Thomas had 10 points for Greenwood (4-14).

Newman Catholic returns to action Friday with a Marawood Conference crossover game at Prentice.
