SCHOFIELD – D.C. Everest ran out to a 21-point lead by halftime and cruised to a 73-35 win over Wisconsin Rapids in a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys basketball game Thursday night at D.C. Everest High School.

Marcus Hall had 16 of his game-high 22 points in the first half as the Evergreens charged ahead 40-19 by intermission.

Cohen Priebe added 14 points and Conner McFarlane added 11 for D.C. Everest, which made 12 3-pointers in the victory including five by Hall and four from Priebe.

D.C. Everest is now 9-11 overall and 7-3 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, while Wisconsin Rapids falls to 3-16 and 0-9 in the WVC.

Cade Jungwirth scored 14 points and Jackson Schooley added nine to lead Wisconsin Rapids.

Both teams return to action Tuesday for Wisconsin Valley Conference games. D.C. Everest will be at Merrill and Wisconsin Rapids will host Wausau East.
