WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wausau West finished off an undefeated Wisconsin Valley Conference girls basketball championship season with a 67-51 win over Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday night at Lincoln High School.

West rolled out to a 36-29 lead by halftime and were able to finish off the win, finishing the regular season at 20-4 overall and a perfect 12-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Kenzie Deaton had 19 points, Lexi White added 15, Molly Anderson scored 12, and Kelly Kray had 11 for the Warriors.

Megan Clary and Ella Bruns each scored 15 points for Wisconsin Rapids, which finishes 15-9 overall and 10-2 in the WVC.

Both teams head into the postseason with Division 1 regional semifinals next Friday, Feb. 25. Wisconsin Rapids will play at Hudson and Wausau West hosts Oshkosh West.
