Volunteer in the Gift Shop! Volunteers are needed at Marshfield Medical Center – Weston. A service opportunity to support staff and visitors in the Gift Shop may be the perfect fit for you! Offer guidance regarding product options for visitors and staff seeking to uplift a loved one’s spirits or treat themselves, provide a breakaway pleasant setting, facilitate accurate transactions, assist with product labels, display maintenance, and support opening/closing functions. Receptionists Needed at McLit. Would love to have a cheery, friendly patient volunteer to greet people, direct them to whatever service they are utilizing, and assist with office work. Option to do a half or full day. (9-4 p.m.) Marathon County Literacy Council is on Third Street, downtown Wausau. Contact Connie at 715-679-6170 or email [email protected].

Volunteer in Hospice Care. Aspirus volunteers are men and women ages 14 and older, each with unique gifts and talents. Aspirus offers a variety of volunteer opportunities to fit anyone’s interest and schedule including visiting directly with hospice patients and their families in the Marathon County area and beyond. In-Kind Donated Items Needed

Bed Linens, Towels and Pillows.  The Women’s Community is looking for new pillows, full sheet sets, and towel sets and washcloths. Donations can be dropped off M-F between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 3220 Hilltop Ave. in Wausau. Contact Allie at [email protected] or 715-842-5663.

Large Dog Kennel. NCHC is in need of a large dog kennel to house a black lab for a client. This is a service animal and has outgrown the current kennel the client had. If you have one to donate, contact the volunteer office at North Central Health Care at 715-848-4450 or email at [email protected].
